About the Event

⭐What to expect

🎨We are always on the threshold of a new dawn. Using gentle movement, colour, line, texture, and shape you will learn how to explore unconscious thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and coping strategies in a fun, safe, and therapeutic way.

Therapeutic art is not about being, or even becoming, an artist but about finding meaning and connection in your life. When you give yourself permission to access the deepest parts of yourself and process your inner wisdom, that is when you will experience a release of energy in your body. Therapeutic art focuses on the process and not the final product to help you formulate new perceptions that in turn lead to growth and healing.

🧘Will then go into a nourishing and de-stressing Yin yoga session. Yin yoga is a slow, passive style of yoga, working on your meridians, we hold a pose for anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes. We come into the pose to a point where we feel significant resistance—our 'edge'—and stay there, calmly holding the pose and remaining still for the duration. Yin yoga might look like it's easy, but holding the poses for such a long time is actually challenging and sometimes uncomfortable, both physically and mentally you will be led to explore your feelings and release what doesn't serve you anymore. Calming sound healing will be played to restore your energies.

Whether you are looking for a deeper mind-body experience or you want to learn how to create lasting change, join us at the School of Arts Community Hall in Bondi on Saturday December 17th .

⭐What do I wear?

Anything comfortable, that makes you feel good, will do gentle stretching and movement during Yin Yoga. All art material is washable with water, but we suggest leaving home anything valuable.

⭐What to bring?

We supply all the art materials and yoga mats and props, but if you prefer you are welcome to bring your yoga mat.
